Literature Text

Shadowy figures dance to and fro under the moons watchful eye
Moving to music that only they can hear
Fading in and out of sight, seeming to meld with the moonlight one second, then slip back into reality in one graceful movement
They whispering things into my head
Not words, no, but long buried memories, or forgotten dreams I wish not to remember
They show me things of the past I wish not to see
They present me with things of the future that I wish not to know
These specters, dance all about me
I run but they still flicker about me
They laugh, a horrible mirthless noise
"How can you defend those you love, if you cannot even face us" they jeer, with voices as whispering and fleeting as the wind
"Do not speak as if you know me!" I snarl
I lash out at the nearest specter
My fist passes through its shadowy body
They laugh again
I begin to run once more
"You cannot harm us, you cannot escape us" the specters taunt
"Just like you could not protect-"
"Do not speak of her!" I roared, hate and pain coursing through my blood, slipping their fetid fingers through my mind
"I'll kill you if you speak her name, I swear it!" I spit with venom
"You cannot harm us, but we can hurt you" they whisper into my ear
Then they said what I most feared, they confirmed my worst nightmares
I scream and scream
I scream until my voice leaves me
I fall to my knees and pound the ground until I can move no longer
I pull my bloody fists to my face
I find hot tears of anguish and lose running down my face
Then, blackness
I know the ending sucks, i cound't think of a good way to end it so i just craped out and half-assed it, so....... neh!
